Job Description

You will be responsible for managing projects where the core activity is the provision of Digital Manufacturing Solutions for our Aerospace component machining customers.

Your prime responsibility will be to understand each individual customer’s requirements and based on that, finalise the full manufacturing process including: selection of machine tools, design of fixtures, selection of cutting tools and CNC programming for the project.

You will either execute the projects alone or will be able to delegate to a team of engineers, taking final responsibility for the execution and good governance of the project.

You will primarily be based in the UK at our Mansfield Office, but there will be the necessity to perform activities on customer sites within the region and occasionally in other areas of the UK. Some International travel will also form part of the role.

Qualifications/Experience

• Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering or similar
• Practical experience of “State-of-the-Art” machining preferably within Aerospace
• Experience in using one or more of the major CAD/CAM platforms. Uni – Graphics experience would be advantageous
• Experience in machine tool simulation and verification preferably CG Tech (Vericut)
• Ability and passion to implement “Best-in-Class” processes and procedures
• Good communication skills, both oral and written
• Literate in ICT, particularly Microsoft Office Suite
