CMM Programming Engineer

Job Description

You will be responsible for programming a variety of CMM’s and managing projects where the core activity is the provision of Digital Manufacturing Solutions for our Aerospace component machining customers.

You will primarily be based in the UK at our Mansfield Office, but there will be the necessity to perform activities on customer sites within the region and occasionally in other areas of the UK. Some International travel may also form part of the role.

This is a “Hands-On Customer facing role” which is intended to develop an additional business stream for the company.

Qualifications/Experience

You are a born communicator with exceptional knowledge of manufacturing complex aerospace components. Your career path could possibly include, manufacturing, with time spent on the shop floor and progression through various positions such as Quality, Planning, Programming and Manufacturing Engineering.

You will have a minimum of five years CMM programming experience particularly Mitutoyo Cosmos, High level CAT 1000 and be confident in the interpretation of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) with a considerable understanding of ASME Standards.

You should have an inspection background leading to CMM programming and the ability to understand measuring uncertainty whilst being able to work using your own initiative.
