Jaivel Celebrates the Centenary of Paris Air Show
22.06.2009
Two delegates from Jaivel attended the Paris Air Show on the recent trade mission organised by the French Chamber of Commerce in Great Britain.
The successful event was the second time employees from the company have visited the show in as many years, the first time being in 2007.
Barry Lomas, Director, Business Development said:
“The trade mission was extremely well organized and provided us with pre arranged, hassle free introductions to people and companies which otherwise would have been extremely difficult to obtain. The FCC collaboration with the UKTI and other business assistance organisations enhanced our visit and utilised our time efficiently and effectively, delivering the potential for new business relationships to develop with both UK and other European contacts made whilst attending”.
As an SME, exhibiting at such an event is usually cost prohibitive, the benefits of attending via the trade mission provided a cost effective solution with advice and assistance when and where required, facilities to meet potential clients at the show, travel and accommodation arranged, transport to and from the show arranged, the result - far better than just walking the floors of the exhibition halls hoping for a successful encounter.
The major highlights of the show included announcements by aerospace giants Bombardier and Airbus for successfully completing deals, Qatar Airways ordering 24 Airbus A320 jets and Spanish airline Air Nostrum ordering 35 Bombardier CRJ – 1000 jets. Rolls-Royce said it had also clinched an order to supply and maintain engines for 20 Airbus A330 aircraft.
